This year Secular Student Alliance (SSA) and HAFree are offering Dr. Hector Avalos´ scholarship -$,1500,- which will be awarded to a Latino student, and the application process is now open for humanists, atheists, and nonreligious students.
The scholarship is available to SSA student members enrolled in high school or college in the United States and are designed to support students who in addition to pursuing excellence in their academic studies are also activists for secular values on their campus and/or in their community.
SSA also offers other scholarships. Check out the Zora Neale Hurston scholarship awarded by SSA jointly with Black Nonbelievers, as well as other state-specific scholarships in Florida, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Texas, California.

Este año, Secular Student Alliance (SSA) y HAFree están ofreciendo la beca del Dr. Héctor Avalos - $1,500 - que se otorgará a un estudiante latino, y el proceso de solicitud ya está abierto para estudiantes humanistas, ateos y no religiosos.
La beca está disponible para los estudiantes miembros de la SSA matriculados en escuelas en los Estados Unidos y está diseñada para apoyar a los estudiantes que, además de buscar la excelencia en sus estudios académicos, también sean activistas de los valores seculares en su campus y/o en su comunidad.
